OEA offers a variety of professional learning opportunities to help you grow your practice. We respond in a dynamic way to member needs, member input 和 requests, 和 current school environments 和 issues to shape our core programs.

We aim to provide professional learning for all OEA members. Educators can access a variety of in-person 和 online learning formats within these core programs, including workshops, 课程, virtual learning communities, 面对面的制度, independent study, 等. Most of our professional learning is led by OEA member educators. Academic credit (both undergraduate 和 graduate) 和 professional development units (PDUs) are available. Empowerment Academies

Academies are year-long cohort opportunities for deep learning, skill development, local implementation, 和 development of leadership skills.

Affinity Spaces

Creating opportunities for educators to come together 和 explore their shared identity.

Trauma Informed Education

Being a trauma informed educator can help support students who have experienced or are experiencing trauma 和 help them be successful, resilient learners.

Maintaining your education license 和 receiving meaningful evaluations shouldn't be a barrier to entering or remaining in the profession. OEA is committed to supporting our members though these processes.

National Board Certification

National Board Certification (NBC) is a voluntary, advanced teaching credential that goes beyond state licensure.

Keeping the Promise of Quality Public Education

的 Oregon Education Association (OEA) is a union committed to the cause of providing the basic right of great public education to every student. OEA represents about 41,000 educators working in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 public schools 和 community colleges. OEA’s membership includes licensed teachers 和 specialists, classified/education support professionals (ESPs), community college faculty, retired educators, 和 student members. OEA members also belong to the 3.2 million members of the National Education Association (NEA).
